This remodel in Waunakee, WI all started with a problem homeowners hope to never encounter- water in the basement!
The homeowner had more problems with his basement than just a boring floor plan and outdated finishes. He had flooding. It damaged all of the flooring and the lower portion of some of the drywall. It was the perfect time to start fresh and make some significant improvements to the space.
A Better Home improved the layout of the space, re configuring the walls to create far more interest. In addition we added archways and display niches to make the space even more unique. Finish selections and colors create a warm space that still has that cool masculine feel.
Custom made bookcase cabinetry and a hidden door complete the library, the true gem of this remodel. The cabinetry is made to be deeper in the top portion and shallower in the lower portion. It fits perfectly around and over the foundation walls in the basement, disguising that they’re even there. Curt Broihahn of Broihahn Custom Woodworks in Lancaster, WI crafted the bookcase cabinetry.
